Get instant results:
Step1: Select the desired chunk size.
Step2: Drag and drop large file onto the big chainsaw button.
The file is instantly split into chunks. Along with the parts there comes a batch file which puts them together again.

Mergefile tool:
There is a tool called Mergefiles which is compatible to Chainsaw and checks the checksums that are contained in Chainsaw's output batch files.

Chainsaw .NET

There is also a .NET Version of Chainsaw available. It is only available in English and German and does not have as many features as Chainsaw but it looks a little snazzier and has an installer which uses "Click Once" technology from Microsoft.
You can download and try out Chainsaw .NET from here (runs on .NET Framework 2.0)
